Albert Dupuis Music Youtube Competition 2026

The competition is open for every solo musician or ensemble of any size and any instrument from duo to large orchestra or choir.

No participation fee.

You must play a complete work of Albert Dupuis, make a quality video recording (edits allowed) and post it on Youtube and then submit the link to horoffra@hotmail.com before 1st of September 2026.

Applications are made by simply sending an email to horoffra@hotmail.com saying who you are and what you will record.

The recorded work(s) of Albert Dupuis must be played completely (full suite, all movements, full cycle) and min 10 min long, except for operas where different parts can be assembled to make a minimum 10 min recording.

On 1st of September 2026 Sebastien Dupuis will select 3 first prizes and some special prizes.

Prizes 1-3 will be invited to play a concert in Zürich at The Piano Salon (travel and accommodation on cost of the candidates) and make a CD recording together paid and distributed by the Label of The Piano Salon. Each will get a prize winning certificate of the Albert Dupuis competition. If travel is not possible, remote recording or alternative arrangements may be accepted.

The video of the 1st prize will be shared on Sebastien Dupuis’s social media cumulating 300.000 followers.

Prizes 2 and 3 will be add as collaboration video on the Youtube channel of Sebastien Dupuis with 100.000 subscribers.

Other special prizes will be shared on social media.

If large ensembles are in prizes 1-3 there will be an arrangement to record an album or single on location if possible.

Scores are available on IMSLP for free or can be bought from the scores page links on this website or a copy can be bought at the Brussels National Library (works page on the website) or some copies can be send for free by Sebastien Dupuis if available by request on horoffra@hotmail.com

Free arrangements, transcriptions, or adaptations of Albert Dupuis’ works are also accepted, as long as the original work remains clearly recognisable and the performance lasts at least 10 minutes.

The jury will consist of Sebastien Dupuis and a selection of professional musician.

Copyright & YouTube
The music of Albert Dupuis may still be under copyright in some countries.
However, participants can upload their video to YouTube as usual.
In some cases, YouTube may automatically place ads on the video and share revenue with the rights holders. This is normal and does not affect participation in the competition.
By entering, participants simply agree to upload their video under these conditions.
